The Warehouse is running a community based fund raising initiative where when buying a 10c plastic bag for your goods you will be given a token to place into your chosen school. TCS is taking part in this so we are urging parents and friends to support our school in this fundraiser. The school will get a percentage of the profits depending on the level of the tokens collected.

There is so much meaning in our mission statement, and we ensure everything we do is about the children who attend our wonderful school. The children are of course your children, and we take their success seriously and make sure Tahatai Coast School is a place of real opportunity for each and every child.
Having just completed a complete rebuild of the school (a six year task, affecting every block) we are now enjoying modern 21st century facilities. Right from the astroturf heart to our school, to the open and spacious fields and playing facilities there is always lots for children to do and lots for them to be involved in.
As the mission statement implies, we are very focussed on ensuring every child’s suceess for their ‘tomorrow’s world’. A strong grounding in literacy and numeracy is essential to their fluency in all areas of school work. We also ensure they have a strong grounding in digital literacy, where the access and use of information and ideas adds a dimension to their learning that gives them the tools for success in any aspect of future endeavour. Our one to one and one to two digital opportunities, occur for every child, every week, so the tools for learning are an important aspect of our work.
We don’t just stop there though. The whole child can only be recognised if we provide opportunities for all their talents to shine. We also offer involvement in sports and physical physed activities, and utilise a sports coordinator to advance these opportunities. Out of hours music/arts classes are also offered and are well subscribed.
We are a large, popular primary school advancing all we offer to children right through to Year 8. Children from Tahatai Coast School stand out at secondary school for their drive and focus, creativity and initiative.
We work hard to ensure success for all, and invite all in our school community to be a part of this excitement.
