At Tahatai Coast school we enjoy “sharing the love”.
We encourage and welcome visitors to our school to interact with students and staff, and to hear how we do things around here.
Over the years, we have hosted many international educators, as well as representatives from schools throughout New Zealand.
We regularly host the Apple Bus Tour, lead by iEducator Stuart Hales, when teachers from around New Zealand spend a day with us, seeing students as teachers, as well as learning about the school’s pedagogy and core beliefs, from a talented staff.
Tahatai Coast School also has a very close relationship with the University of Waikato.We participate in the annual Toe Dippers programme,(giving new students the opportunity to test the waters,) accept College teachers on practicums throughout the year, and also present the PP3I paper, on site, to 3rd year College teachers.
These papers, rated at university level, are delivered by the Principal and Deputy Principal.We pride ourselves in offering professional development opportunities in both 1-1 or larger group situations.If you would like to come and “share some of our love”, please contact the principal, Jenny Griggs, at jennyg@tahatai.school.nz
