National Standards

Below are links to a PDF for each Standard to help you understand the National Standards and how you can support your child’s learning at home. Due to the images in these publications, they do take a while to upload…

Which National Standard will a student be assessed against?

To help parents identify what type of Report their child is getting at the end of Term 4 and beyond, we have come up with a simple colour coding system.

DARK GREEN - means that a report is an ANNIVERSARY REPORT. This report will indicate your child’s achievement in relation to a standard.

All students in Years 4 – 8 will receive an ANNIVERSARY REPORT in Term 4, indicating achievement in relation to the  ‘End of Year 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 National Standard’.

Students in Years 0 – 3 (with a Date of Birth between July 1 and December 31), will receive an ANNIVERSARY REPORT. This will indicate their achievement in relation to the Standard relevant for their age, ‘After 1, 2, or 3 Years at School’.

LIGHT BLUE – means that a report is an INTERIM REPORT. This report will indicate your child’s achievement in relation to an up-coming standard.

Students in Years 0 – 3 (with a Date of Birth between January 1 and June 30), will receive an INTERIM REPORT. This will indicate their progress towards the up-coming National Standard relevant for their age next year.
