“Tahatai Coast School PTA Working to help our Children”
The PTA are a group of volunteer parents who fundraise to provide additional resources for the school. They meet once a month (usually 2nd Monday of the month) at 7.00pm in the School Staff Room. New parents / caregivers are more than welcome to attend.
Next Meeting: Monday 11 June 2012 – 7pm in the Staffroom – all welcome.
Fundraising Activities
Friday Sausage Sizzle: Sausages $1.50, Drinks $2.00 – Order in your child’s classroom. We always need parents to help cook on Fridays. Three people are rostered together from 10.45am – 12.15pm to cook the sausages – preschoolers are welcome. This is a fun way to meet other parents, or gather your friends and do it together. Grandparents very welcome to help out if Mums & Dads are working. Your kids will be proud to see you helping out at school! Please leave your name and contact details with the office or forward your details to us via the school website “Contact Us” link with PTA as the subject - thank you.
Entertainment Books: These have been sent home with your child, please return the payment or unwanted book back to school as soon as possible. The school recieves $11 from every book sold.
Recent Purchases
The following items have been purchased by the PTA, this is made possible by your support of all our fundraising activities. 60 Digital Cameras and accessories $6,500; Wet Weather Raincoats for Teachers on Duty $500; Rainbow Reading $500; Junior Literacy $600; Flipperball Caps $550; Rugby / Touch Uniforms $1600. We are currently investigating options for supplying Data Projectors for each classroom. These are priced around $1000 each.

NIGEL LATTA - politically incorrect guide to raising girls and boys - is coming to Tauranga, one show only at 7.30pm on Wednesday 8 August 2012 at Bethlehem College Performing Arts Centre. Limited tickets, $25 each, will be available from Tahatai Coast school office (cash/cheque only) otherwise tickets will be on sale from Baycourt or ticketdirect.co.nz. CHRISTMAS ON THE FIELD Our annual event will be held at school on Thursday 6th December 2012, 5pm – 8pm. If you own or work for a business that is able to donate any promotional items / prizes for this event or if you know of any food trucks that would like to come along please contact us thru the link on this website.
