Tahatai Coast School is an inclusive community that warmly welcomes parents in ‘sharing the learning journey’ with teachers and students. We believe in working in partnership with students, parents and whānau, so that a love of learning is fostered.
Keep up to date with upcoming class trips, school wide and sporting events by regularly checking our school calendar. Term dates are established well in advance so that whānau can organise their holidays.
Each school is unique and we have collated some of the most frequently asked questions from our whānau and their answers.

We have a selection of lunches that can be purchased for your child to eat at school. Te Whānau ā Tahatai (The Family of Tahatai) is essentially a warm, inviting space in which students can come to eat breakfast, spend time with their friends, and relax before their school day begins.
Tahatai Coast School has policies and procedures in place to manage emergencies, disasters, and crises. When an unexpected event occurs, we assess the impact on the school and respond by activating the relevant policies and procedures.
After consultation with our learners, community and staff, our Board of Trustees sets the overall strategic direction of the school, plans, goals and budgets.
